EXCELTA, a family-owned distributor and manufacturer of tweezers, pliers, cutters, and other small assembly hand tools based in Buellton, is looking for a Warehouse Manager.
Duties include:
• Lead the Warehouse staff (receiving, inventory and shipping): hire, train, develop, motivate, coach and inspire each individually for a high performing team.
• Monitor and manage inventory: ensure tracking and recording of inventory is timely and accurate, Coordinate and perform cycle counts on a daily basis reports and make necessary inventory adjustments.
• Maintain great relationships with internal and external customers, representing the company in a professional and positive manner.
• Utilize computer software (ERP system, Microsoft Suite) to review information, generate reports, analyze data, report on department metrics and work in the most efficient manner.
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean and safe, ensuring an OSHA compliant work environment at all times.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and integrate best practices in handling warehouse materials.
• Oversee daily operations in the warehouse, including management of Warehouse personnel and delegation of tasks.
• Create GTIN (Barcode numbers) and assign Cycle Count numbers and box types for new products.
Skills, Experience, Education:

- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required; or four to five years experience in warehousing environment within manufacturing company; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
- Experience in and knowledge of warehousing, shipping, receiving and logistics best practices and creating, measuring and communicating KPIs.
- Familiar with quality standards and implementation.
- Understanding of safety protocols and requirements.
Position Details:
This is a full-time non-exempt position that is required to be onsite full-time. Typical schedule Monday – Friday day shift. Salary Range $30-45/hour. Benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision and retirement plans.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The employee is constantly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and arms to handle and reach.
